bullet 09-24-2011: ANOG held its first Community Leadership Summit on September 24th, 2011. The thrust of the ANOG Community Leadership Summit, with the theme “Achieving strategic Agility –by focusing on collective Leadership” is to help shape the focus of our community leaders to turn challenges into opportunities and conflict into collaboration. This is the maiden workshop of this nature. ANOG is embarking on a bold mission to expand our community’s leadership capacity and foster a new generation of civic engagement that is committed to making a positive difference where we live, work and play. bullet 08-23-2011: ANOG, the umbrella organization of the Nigerian community in Georgia, USA, today announced the winners of its annual service & Image Awards, which recognize the top distinguished Nigerians, resident in Georgia. The 2011 winners of ANOG Image Award are Prof. Juliet Elu Juliet U. Elu, Prof. Charles Ume and Engr. Rufus Oladapo. This recognition demonstrates their exceptional accomplishment and appreciation for what they have done for our community. Read more>>
 
bullet 01-17-2011:  Today, January 17th, the Alliance of Nigerian Organizations in Georgia (ANOG),  joined DeKalb NAACP and in fact the rest of the world in paying homage to one of the “World’s Greatest Heroes,” at an MLK Parade and Rally.  This is the first time that ANOG will collaborate with DeKalb NAACP in celebrating Martin Luther King’s legacy.   Dr. King devoted his Life to Love, Peace, Non-violence, Civil Rights and Human Rights for All Mankind. bullet 04-16-2008: Executive members of ANOG met with Delta Air Lines officials to open a line of communication, thank Delta for its decision for its direct flight to Lagos, Nigeria and to address some concerns by the Nigerian communities and travelers flying the Atlanta route.
