WHO WE ARE The Africa America Crisis Assistance Network (AACAN), Inc. was established in December 2001, as a non-profit, non-governmental, and International United States based organization with a 501(c)(3) tax exempt status. The organization's purpose is to provide relief assistance to all crisis affected people regardless of race, color, sex, ages, religious affiliation, national origin or disability. AACAN's mission is to feed the hungry, provide clothing and relief assistance to the less fortunate and orphans, assist the sick and disabled, promote peace, dignity, and hope for the less advantaged. The head office is located in Atlanta Georgia. OUR PRIMARY OBJECTIVES Engage in humanitarian relief programs. Develop, coordinate, and promote community development program and activities. Advance and encourage youth development programs. Design and conduct educational outreach program. Work, coordinate, encourage and promote cross-cultural awareness program that would educate and reorientates all people about the rich cultural heritage of America and Africa. Work and collaborate with organizations and institutions. INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AACAN International Division has formed partnership with several overseas organizations and institutions for possible cooperation, assistance, and training. AACAN first overseas and regional headquarters was established in Owerri, Nigeria (Africa Regional Office). Plans are underway to establish more regional offices in Africa, Europe, Asia and America.
