On my Inaugural
Day (April 18th, 2009) in the Akwa Ibom House,
Atlanta, I Obong, Dr. McDonald Effiong
Ammazi-Akpan, salute my PEOPLE - Akwa Ibom
indigenes here and abroad. Nditọ Akwa
Ibom, mbọk idian ubọk ibọb abio nnyin.
Let us grow up, put our differences aside, and
realize that we travelled this far to improve
ourselves so that we could differentiate
ourselves from ordinary individuals, and
therefore must be emulated, positively.
I have all the
qualifications: Professional, Personal, Academic
and Traditional, for my position as President. I
ask that all Akwa Ibomites, both near and far,
join hands to help me succeed.
Please feel
free to peruse our site and to
tell a friend/family member about us. Though
this site is primarily aimed at Akwa Ibom
Indigenes in the Atlanta area, I look forward to
this site being the watering hole for all Akwa
Ibomites worldwide. To achieve this purpose, we
will add various features over time that will
encourage social networking as well as online
and offline collaboration (Picture of the week,
photo galleries, members section, etc).
If you have any
questions, do not hesitate to
drop us a note. We will definitely get back
to you.
Sincerely,
Obong, Professor McDonald "Big Mac" Effiong
Ammazi-Akpan, ph.D.
