The Alliance of Nigerian Organizations in Georgia is the umbrella organization that caters for the collective interests, and represents the single, unified voice of all non-profit Nigerian associations in Georgia, USA, across community, tribal, ethnic, educational, social, political and economic lines. ANOG is the veritable channel through which the Nigerian Consulate Office in Atlanta reaches out to Nigerian community Associations.

11-27-08:  The Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Atlanta, would like to inform the Nigerian Community that H. E. Chief Ojo Maduekwe, CFR, the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, would be visiting Atlanta, on the invitation of the Southern Center for International Studies, December 5, 2008

10-25-08:  The Federal Ministry of Tourism, Culture and National Orientation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, invites you to the Nigerian Tourism Expo 2008 (NITEX 2008) scheduled to hold at Marriot Marquis, Peachtree Centre Avenue, Downtown, Atlanta, 30303, from 12 noon 8pm, daily, 28 29 October, 2008. The objectives of the Tourism Expo include:
(i) Promotion and projection of Nigerian Tourism Sites and potentials;
(ii) Promotion of Nigeria’s service sectors that support And promote tourism and business generally;
(iii) Encouragement of foreign investments into the Tourism industry in Nigeria

08-28-08: Free Health Screening / Health Fair:  In partnership with solid industry, corporate and professional Alliances, the Nigerian Women Association of Georgia has lined up a free bumper health screening and health fair, as part of activities celebrating Nigerian Independence anniversary. Join us for a day of fun, food, entertainment,  games, soccer match and other healthful, healthy activities. Be there at the Free Health Screening and Health Fair on Saturday September 20th 2008. Your body will thank you for it :)


08-18-08: Newsflash: Prof. Banji Ayoola, the renown professor of medicine and Heaptogastroenterology,  Fellow of American College of Physicians,  and former Provost of the College of Medicine in the University of Sokoto, Nigeria, to be the Guest Speaker at the Banquet Awards and Dance on September 27th 2008. 08-21-08: e-passport issuance postponed !!!
The E-Passport scheduled to be issued on August 22nd, 2008 in Atlanta has been postponed until further notice. The Nigerian Consulate deeply apologizes for any inconvenience caused. This was due to reasons beyond their control. You will be notified in future when all arrangements are made on this regard. If you have already paid online at Nigerian Immigration Service  for the passport, you can hold on to your receipts and present them when they have all the equipments on ground.

08-18-08: Dr. Femi Ajayi elected National President of Kwara State Association - North America.
"On behalf of the Chairman Dr. Ezekiel Macham and the entire ANOG exec, I congratulate Dr. Femi Ajayi for being elected as new President of Kwara State Association of Nigeria North America this past weekend. May God Almighty guide and be with you as your lead your organization towards the future.  With the new leadership, I hope we can get the local Atl chapter of Kwara State Asso more involved and support ANOG's activites.

07-19-08: ANOG Image Award:
Dr. Mohammed Ladan and Chief Alani Ogunlade have been nominated as ANOG 2008 Image Award recipients. The two have contributed immensely in their different ways in promoting Nigeria's image both at their professional duties and the community. They will be recognized at our annual banquet event on September 27, 2008.

02-26-08: Appointment to Committee:
The Executive Governor of Kwara State, Dr. Olusola Saraki, recently inaugrated an Implementation committee for the establishment of Kwara State University. The Committee is made up of erudite scholars, seasoned administrators and distinguished individuals. Our own Dr. Femi Ajayi, an Executive Director, Office of Secretary of State- Atlanta, is member.
